M.P. MASSE ISSUES STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR ENCAMPMENT AGREEMENTS

WINDSOR, ON – NDP M.P. for Windsor West, Brian Masse, issued the following statement in response to the announcement of the agreements reached by the University of Windsor encampment, the University of Windsor’s Students’ Alliance, and University of Windsor administration:

“I want to take this opportunity to send my congratulations to the students at the University of Windsor encampment, the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance, and the University of Windsor for reaching agreements to conclude the encampment. The agreements reached are a testament to the power of collaboration and organized advocacy. I applaud all parties for reaching this agreement and for remaining dedicated to collaboration and negotiation throughout the process. I am particularly grateful to the students who chose to make a difference in a peaceful and constructive manner, and I hope they are proud of the outcome. I wish them well as they bring the encampment to a close and continue their work together as a community.”
